Thunder Shirts

“ThunderShirt uses gentle hugging to calm your dog or cat. With its patented design, ThunderShirt’s gentle, constant pressure has a dramatic calming effect for most dogs and cats if they are anxious, fearful or overexcited. Based on surveys completed by over two thousand customers, over 80% of dogs and cats show significant improvement in symptoms when using ThunderShirt.” — www.ThunderShirt.com

We’ve been using Thunder Shirts for years for both of our dogs during storms and occasionally in other stressful situations. Thunder Shirts have allowed Isabel (a very timid chihuahua) to come out from hiding and even sleep during thunder storms. When we know a storm is coming we have our dogs “suit up” to help keep them calm — it works every time.

Vetri-Science Perio-Support

Vetri-what? That’s what I said, too. Vetri-Science Perio-Support is a powder you add to your pet’s food that helps support their dental health. Basically, as your pets are eating, the powder “brushes” their teeth.

Isabel has horrible dental health, and this is one of only two products that has helped make a difference. I’m so grateful that our veterinarian recommended it. The dogs like it so much, they no longer like to eat their food without the “seasoning.” Yes, we tell our dogs that we’re seasoning their food.

If you have a tiny dog with poor dental health, this is one product you should definitely ask your vet about.

C.E.T. AquaDent

As mentioned above, this is the only other product that has ever helped noticeably support Isabel’s oral hygiene. When added to our dog’s water daily, it helps fight plaque by killing bad bacteria. It’s easy to use, and the dogs don’t seem to notice the addition to their water.

If your pet has poor dental health, this is another product to talk to your vet about.

Martha Stewart Pets Toy Storage Bin

While toys may come and go in our house, this toy bin has proven to be irreplaceable. With its unique design, Roxy is able to stick her head in and retrieve whatever toy her little heart desires. I love it, because I can toss out-of-place toys in the bin while knowing they’re still accessible to our pets. Winter loves crawling in the toy box for playtime. The bin itself is collapsable, which was a nice feature when we were moving.

What pet products do you trust for your furbabies? I’d love to know!
