A Pretty Spring Buffet Table

April 16, 2013

I recently hosted a Premier Jewelry party. It was so much fun! Since I knew there’d be a group of women at my house for this party, I had fun dressing up our dining room table as a buffet for party guests. The decorations and food were simply perfect for this type of gathering.

The Menu:

  • butter pecan bundt cake (recipe coming soon!)
  • chips and dip
  • M&M’s
  • suckers (left over from my sister’s-in-law baby shower)
  • sweet tea
  • lemon and lime infused water

The Decor:

SpringBuffetBeverages

I used the same pieces I used for the hot pink and zebra baby shower for my beverage station. Although, I used clear plastic cups in lieu of the hot pink and black cups used at the shower. I used the leftover paper straws and dressed them up with a pink ribbon I had in my craft stash.

The lemon and lime infused water couldn’t be simpler to make. All I did was slice two lemons and three limes the morning of the shower and added them to the pitcher. Then, I simply poured filtered water over the fruit slices and let it chill in the fridge for a few hours.

SpringBuffetFlowers

About 30 minutes before the jewelry lady was supposed to arrive, I decided I needed flowers for the table. I ran out to my grocery store — which is luckily very close to my house — and picked up two beautiful bouquets for about $12. Back home, I trimmed them up and placed them in two vases I already had before the jewelry lady arrived. Whew!

SpringBuffetSuckers

I had a few leftover suckers from the baby shower, so I threw them on the table, too. I thought they were appropriate, since I was very thankful for my party guests. Plus, I knew my sister-in-law really enjoyed these at her shower, so I thought she might appreciate having them again. (She did!)

Have you been doing much entertaining this spring? It seems like we have guests over several times a week, and I love it!
