We began this month with a bang when I shared the news of our new house! We are so happy to finally be in this house after spending a month without a home at all.
The first couple of weeks spent in our new house were a frenzy of painting. In this post I shared with you my best tips for preparing walls for paint. I also shared a sneak peek of our dining room.
At this point in the month, it was beginning to feel like we were never going to get anywhere with our house. But, I was happy to share with you the floor plan of our current home, affectionately known as the blue house.
I put together a large post full of pictures of the before photos of our house. If you’ve been following along with our little house journey, this is a not-to-be-missed post!
And then I announced a huge surprise. We adopted a kitten! Click here to meet Winter.
Up next I shared a nifty how-to post giving all the details needed to remove carpet dents. This trick was employed a lot right before we moved out of our first house. I also had two, little “helpers” while ridding our first house of carpet dents.
As the month progressed, if felt more and more like we would be stuck in “the middle” in the blue house for awhile. Click here to see what I mean.
A new knob in the laundry room lifted my sprits a bit about being stuck in the middle. Knobs are cute. I like cute.
After not being able to get my craft on for several months, a 49¢ art project lifted me out of my funk.
Lastly this month I shared with you how I’m planning a baby shower for my sister-in-law. I’ve only got a month to plan, so expect more on this subject in February!
January was a jam-packed month for me. I can’t wait to show you more of the blue house and more of my plans for the baby shower next month.
