We’re Selling Our House

August 20, 2012

When we bought our first home, we knew we would only call it home for three to five years. When I lost my job a month before my husband finished school, we knew the time to move closer to our family was near. I spent about a month preparing our home to go on the market, and then we listed with an agent.

This is where we’ve called home for the past three years.

We have loved fixing up and living in our first home for the past three and a half years. We bought our house as a foreclosure just months after our wedding. The honeymoon was over as soon as we realized there wasn’t a surface in this house that didn’t need something done to it. Travis’ parents took several weeks off from work and moved in to help us renovate.

Over the next few weeks, I plan on pulling together a house tour of our very first house so we can remember not only our first home, but also this season of life and all the blood sweat and tears (literally) that went into making our first house a home.
